Some time ago I suggested here that all Chiswick dogs were latte-drinking Nick Hornby readers. The above, seen yesterday, proves me wrong. Something odd here: if you call its name it won’t hear you, you can’t take it home because there’s no contact number, and why would anyone call an ugly deaf male mutt Zelda anyway?
Oh, this is less than it seems. There's a set of these posters on Flickr, identical text but different dogs, posted by someone who promises to 'mail you a bunch of these posters or smaller stickers to paste up in your local area for free'. The 'Lost Dog Project' - it may even be 'art', of a kind. I'm disappointed. Life itself is odd and surprising; I don't need its oddness staged.
